We got the croissant breakfast sandwich and panini breakfast sandwich. Both were really good - I really wanted to order a second one because it was so good. I got the hazelnut coffee it was delicious!! Lots of coffee choices - 8 when we were there. Great place nice cozy atmosphere

Great customer service, nice ambiance..but the desserts aren't up to snuff..I ordered the apple pie and the Key Lime pie. The Key Lime crust was too thin, and the actual filling wasn't tart enough for a typical Key Lime pie, and was too fluffy. Key Lime pie shouldn't sit like a bad pierogi, but shouldn't be like eating air. The Apple Pie had a decent crunch, but wasn't memorable. I know there's a lot of great reviews on here..and I don't want to take away from their great customer service, cleanliness, and ambiance...but I was disappointed in the dessert(s)!

Very comfortable and delicious place. Been coming here for 12 years and it has been consistently good. I always just get the coffee and sweets, which they do a fantastic job with. The lemon bars are one of my faves. One of the best dessert makers in the entire area!

Came for a late breakfast/early lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Great prices for everything, very tasty, made to order food... (my wife and I each had an omelette, it was very filling and delicious) and great choices in drip coffee! They have a menu with great options like sandwiches/wraps, coffee house favorites, baked goods, smoothies... basically anything you'd want. I would definitely recommend for breakfast/lunch as the staff was friendly and courteous as well as the speed of the food; very, very well done.

I have been to Stork's Bakery several times and really enjoy it. I love that they are open early and close late. It is perfect to pop in after an evening out and get refreshed by any number of sweets. They also have a full live a savory foods. The chicken and beef empanadas are really good. The cookies are huge and a bargain at $2.00 I loved the Framboise cake and the Lemon White Chocolate Mousse is incredible. There are some many other things on the menu to try so I know I'll be back!

A couple of reasons why this place does not deserve 4 stars. 1. Breakfast is not all day 2. They use a microwave 3. Sandwiches are on tortillas 4. Over priced They get the two stars for the nice people that's work there

This is a nice little cafe with good food and service. My only complaint is they really need to work on their espresso machine skills. I couldn't even finish my cappuccino, it was pretty gross.

  • Michael S.

The cookies need work, but the food is good and the coffee is awesome. The employees need to stop flexing and eyeballing my girlfriend when we go there though, especially the dork who thinks he's wolverine with the weird beard.

Service stunk, iced coffee was terrible. I don't get where these positive reviews come from.

Always try to avoid going by here because my sweet tooth always wins. Never disappointed into selection. Sometimes though my coffee doesn't seem hot enough it's self serve in pump dispensers prefer fresh from the machine but this doesn't stop me from making a turn in here.

I really would like to give this bakery more stars, because I really like the vibe here. The staff is normally attentive and the place is always clean. They even let me bring my dog and sit outside. The staff will bring water over to him and give them a little bowl of water. The problem is that the cakes and pies are not always fresh. There have been numerous times when I've ordered a slice of cake or pie, gotten my coffee, take my tray and go sit outside to enjoy the nice patio. When I sit down and bite into the pie - it's horrible with that stale, metallic refrigerator taste. It's like they didn't cover it before they put it into the refrigerator and it absorbs all the smells and odors of the refrigerator. Each time that's happened the staff have always been really willing to replace it and give me a slice of something else, but by that time it's already ruined it for me. But on the flipside, their cookies are terrific. Never had a bad one. The gingersnaps are my favorite. The coffee, is rather thin, watery never full-bodied and deep flavored-seems a bit watered-down. I really do like the staff and I like the space and the friendliness of the place, I just wish the product was better.

This neighborhood hang out is a terrific bakery and coffee house. Everything is made fresh on the premises to ensure top rate quality. But don't stop with the coffee and sweets. The lunch menu is varied and delicious. Their soups are outstanding! When you want a quiet excellent meal, consider Stork's. You won't be disappointed. Peter is quite the baker and I am looking forward to his opening his second location in the Culinary Arts District of Oakland Park Main Street. Expect fresh breads and aromas to waft through the Corals of Oakland Park neighborhood soon!

  • Julyana T.

I ordered the white chocolate lemon pie. It was delish! The smoothie was alright. Mine was peach mango strawberry one. They didn't use fresh fruit. The service was excellent. I came with my 2 toddlers and they gave out free sprinkler cookies and a fresh mango banana smoothie to my boys. Next time I'll try their macaroons.

  • Sam M.

I come here a lot. The food is good and the staff is friendly and helpful. The problem is smoking on the patio, where most people prefer to sit. I am here now and the same creepy old man that only orders coffee is here stinking the place up while he spends the afternoon, presumably waiting to die and gagging diners. There is also an impossibly obnoxious fool enjoying a filthy black cigar. Get with it Storks. No smoking!

Nice breakfast menu selection, and a good choice of coffees. Prepared breakfast service was a little slow but the food was excellent!

I stopped by there today to pick up my boyfriend's favorite (lemon white chocolate tart) and a chocolate chip muffin. They didn't have any chocolate chip muffins left so I tried the chocolate croissant. When I got home and took a bite of the croissant, it was not what I expected. It was just filled with chocolate chips ( not melted ) and the croissant itself was stale. This is the first time I have ever been disappointmented with their food. I will try again soon.

Finally a visit to Storks and so glad for it! I didn't know what to expect when I walked in, but there's a plethora of food from breakfast food to lunch/dinner. They serve adult beverages and mimosas on the weekends ($15 unlimited). We ordered the egg, bacon, and cheese on croissant bread which was good. Also tried the zucchini/walnut muffin which was very good as well. Ordered a specialty coffee with chocolate, coconut, and 1 other item in it, and it was very tasty. All of their food looked delicious, and I will definitely go back.

Great little neighborhood bakery. The sweets and pastries are out of this world. I'm a huge chocolate fan, so, naturally, I swear by the Decadence cake. But I've loved every kind of sugary, sweet thing that I've eaten at Stork's. They also have a bistro menu of savory items including sandwiches, wraps and salads as well as a soup of the day, I believe. And I'm pretty sure they offer quiches of some type from time to time. But I must admit, I'm not nearly as familiar with the savory items - which are always great - because the pastries and baked goods seduce me into buying them every single time I walk in the door. I am human and I am weak. Whatcha gonna do...??? When you're in the area, always keep Storks on your short list of places you need to visit.

  • Vincent S.

Since I live nearby I enjoy sunday morning coffee out on their terrace under the awning!

    (3)
  • Daniel P.

I have been coming here for a few years and some lunch items are good, but there is nothing special about their baking or ingredients used in their desserts for the price you are paying. They all taste about the same and that is they all have TOO much sugar. It would be nice if they had some options for those that care about their sugar intake.

    (2)
  • Rachel C.

This was a half and half experience. Half good (really good pollo Italiano sandwich and stuffed chicken breast, as well as a really friendly staff) and half bad (stale but tasty cannoli and biscotti, and an oddly textured, but again -tasty- lemon bar.) I was hoping for more out of dessert considering this is a bakery, but I would certainly give it another shot.

I love to come here for a yummy vegan dessert. The vegan chocolate cake is wonderful and goes perfectly with a soy latte. They sell them by the slice

Been going here for years and I love the coffee and baked items. The sandwiches are fresh and filling.

This is a gay establishment that is very straight friendly. I LOVE STORKS. dead serious- they may make the best sandwich in Fort Lauderdale. Fantastic, fresh ingredients, made to order. Homemade soups. huge selection of coffees and teas. i have lived near Storks for 7 years and finally tried it. I'm an idiot for taking so long to find it.

  • Bill L.

Peter, John and all the crew here did an excellent job catering our party. The food and service were top notch! Friendly, professional and on time! Highly recommend using them for any catering event....The eggplant park, baked ziti and appetizers were all superb! Thanks guys!

  • Richard W.

Decadence chocolate cake was out of this world!!!!! Service was excellent, everything looks awesome....

    (5)
  • David G.

The name of this place was kinda misleading. I expected more of a coffee shop that had baked goods but this was pretty much a full menu place. They had some coffee drinks and press pots as well as a huge bakery case but they had sandwiches, salads and soups. The service is at a counter so you pick what you want from the large and varied menu. I had soup salad and dessert and the quality wifi, outdoor dining turned into a nice relaxing evening. My only complaint is parking is a bit limited.

    (5)
  • Richard K.

I am going to keep this simple. Get the Decadence. It is a flourless, gluten-free, chocolate cake made with sweet love. It is like biting into a rich, delightful cloud. It is airy goodness. And an absolute must try.

  • Marqus R.

It's a nice clean, well decorated, well run establishment and though long connected with the gay community of Wilton Manors serves as a general gathering place for all of the locals. The atmosphere is somewhat Starbucks, or maybe it's that Starbucks is somewhat like Stork's, but either way I've found Storks to be absent that chainy feel or behind the scenes massive corporate impulse one can not help but feel when at Starbucks. Stork's, which bears the name of an active community leader, has a smallish indoor seating along with a very pleasant but also small patio seating. Coffee is the specialty but of course they also have a good array of desserts, cakes and other delicious treats as well as sandwiches and salads which are, for the most part and best of all, made on premises, fresh daily or made to order.

    (4)
  • Steven T.

Stopped in for an Amaretti cookie. The cookie is up to $2.50? As far as I know it's not Starbucks for Starbucks prices. Sorry to say after years it's still the same rating. Ugh!

Lovely, simply lovely. Soups, coffee, deserts. Almost everything I love in one location. Terribly sinful temptations everywhere.

  • Thomas Z.

Since moving to Fort Lauderdale a couple years ago, I have been to Stork's about 8 times. This is one of those places you "want" to like. I love to patronize and support non-chain places. They have a nice location, nice outdoor patio, and very friendly staff. I keep trying this place hoping the food and coffee will improve, but sadly, it has not. The coffee is abysmal.....weak and watery, with no taste. You add an eyedropper of half and half and the entire cup of coffee is white. I could make the same coffee in one of those crappy in-room hotel coffee makers. Now I only drink a bottle of Perrier. The desserts are dry, greasy, blah, and unimaginative. Desserts taste like the refrigerator, and many look like they have been there for days. Desserts taste no better than anything you could pick up at Publix. I would love for this place to do amazing ! But they need to completely revamp the menu and coffee. A new chef to design a completely new menu would go a long way.

  • Bruno B.

I like supporting local businesses when I can. All the employees here are very friendly! They have one vegan cake called Mom's chocolate fudge. Keeps me coming back! Would love to see more vegan options here! 5 stars for at least offering a vegan choice and this cake is out of sight!

    (5)
  • Freddie F.

nice place, good staff, a bit over priced on everything.... coffee is coffee & a snack shop is no big deal. i will go back for a occassional cup of coffee, sorry no tips for the tip jar.... any business who has a tip jar should be embarrassed that they have to beg customers for loose change for their minimum wage employees.

Ok let me say that when I walked in I noticed that the gay community loves this place I'm not sure if it's exclusively for gay people so I was a little nervous, I am not gay.. Anyways that said, this place was absolutely amazing the staf was incredible. Seriously the nicest, friendliest people behind the counter, the service was amazing!! I stayed just to talk to the wonderful staff!!! NOW the desserts OMG I started with the salted Carmel cream puff, I've never had anything like this in my life!!! (I brought one home to my boyfriend and he loved it also!!) then I had flourless chocolate cake, it was like eating a candy bar I can't explain it it was out of this world delish!! I had 5 mini macaroons yummy!! Cream cheese brownie was moist and warm but not chocolatey enough for me! So I had some great butter cookies filled with raspberry and one with apricot dipped in chocolate with decaf snicker doodle coffee this place is truly amazing and I will go back again and again!!! I loved it!!!!

The sandwiches were great, smoothies were delicious; staff was hilarious, friendly, and helpful. Ambiance is perfect for getting away from work on your lunch break. only took a star off because the food is kind of expensive, more than expected

It is very cute and unique bakery and coffee house..many amazing foods and drink. It is the best place to hang out with my friend for a light meal afternoon.. Even closer to my home.

they make great theme cakes thats also delicious but when we went to pick up our order they didn't have a box to put the cake in which I thought was a little unprofessional.

One of our favorite neighborhood spots. The food is great, fresh baked pastries are delicious, the staff is amazing and the location is perfect. Don't forget the homemade pies too!!

  • Janie G.

Our new favorite breakfast place. Custom made breakfast sandwiches, pre-de salads, frittatas, empanadas, pastries and mini cakes. The coffee selection is waaaayyy better than anyone else in town. If tea is your thing they have at least 20 teas to choose from which is rare. The customer service is great!

It was the Sunday that we returned from our Caribbean Regent Cruise.... And it was a record-cold 35 degrees in Fort Lauderdale! My friend Steven entertained us so well all day and helped us detox a little from 5 days of craziness... In the afternoon before he dropped us off at the airport for our flight back to San Francisco, we met up with his friends at the Stork's Bakery & Coffee House. I opted for a regular coffee and a bowl of chicken rice vegetable soup. There were about 10 coffee options and I mixed the snickerdoodle decaf blend with caffeinated regular coffee. I wish the coffee were a bit hotter but it was yummy! The soup came in a big bowl and was really delicious! Megan had a raspberry croissant which was also amazingly yummy. Some other things I noticed were the beautiful Barbie-esque birthday cakes and yummy-looking salads (such as orzo with veggies). Steven loves this spot and he has great taste so it must always provide good stuff!

Great bakery and coffeehouse! Large area for indoor or outdoor seating. Counter service. Their daily baked fresh cookies, cakes, pastries etc are delicious and all created by Peter (owner and baker). Affordable. Delicious.

Newly returned to the SoFla area, trying to find GOOD bakery/patisserie, which seem to be strangely lacking for such a heavily populated area...but I digress. Yelp-ed and came across Stork's in search of a good Gingersnap (for someone recently back from NYC and craving a ginger cookie) and other baked goodies. Left with a Gingersnap, a Black and White Cookie and Stacy's Fudgie. The B&W was for someone else, so I don't have an opinion, but I was more than pleased with the Gingersnap and am now a fan of Stacy - whoever she is - and her Fudgie - a fudge-brownie-cookie thing. I did make a return visit for my own Gingersnap and another Fudgie. I have only been there twice so far, but the other baked goods and meal offerings were more than satisfying to the eye and do warrant a taste in the near future. The staff was very friendly and helpful...and happily honored the Yelp check-in offer, with the promise that I'd add my constructive review. :) Will definitely stop in again whenever I'm in the area!

I've lived down the street from Stork's for over 3 years and I FINALLY set out to try it. I had been a fan of Stork's many years ago when my mother went through this party phase and she would go to Stork's and get a sampling of several cakes and sweets for her dinner guests and we would all hoover over the plater together and eat cake like crazy people whom had never had a sweet before. So my recent visit, I walked, how great is it that you can get out and walk somewhere in South Florida?? I've certainly been hiding under a rock to not partake in vistiting Stork's. I had an iced coffee, with soy- I love alternative milk options at cafe's. I am not a breakfast person typically so I got a few pastries and my other half got the egg special of the day and a smoothie, love the smoothie board menu here and can't wait to try more. My iced coffee was phenomenal, I often want to stop here in the morning on my way to work for one but I don't. My pastries were good, fresh and satisfying. It's a great little place to come for breakfast or a snack and hang out. Will certainly be back for more.

This has got to be one of my favorite hang outs for lunch or just an iced tea to relax. Love the new patio awning, just wish you'd have kept the other chairs they were more comfortable. The red chairs are pretty, but not comfortable. The Pilgrim wrap is great and so is the turkey club grilled. I really like the biscotti. The staff are all great. Unfortunately I'm definitely not a fan of the butter cream on your cakes and cupcake's...you can't beat Publix for that.

    (4)
  • Justin L.

Plenty of unique options at Stork's. If you don't feel like one of their tasty regular salads or sandwiches, there is always something delicious to try as a featured daily special. I've never ordered something and not enjoyed it. The bakery items are delish, too! I'm a sucker for a canoli every now and again. Heaven help you if you don't share a bite of their enormous cookies! Snickerdoodle? Ginger Snap? Oh, yes please... and, thank you! :)

I am really liking Stork's right now. It's becoming my go-to place to hang out when I'm visiting SoFL, and since I went there twice today, I thought they deserved a new review! On my last two trips, I've noticed marked improvements in the espresso drinks and a nice selection of teas from Republic of Tea. Maybe they changed the beans, or maybe there are new baristas that are making better drinks...whatever the reason, I enjoyed my skinny latte and my chai latte today. And the baristas are really fun! My cousin Sofia C. is a constant fixture at Stork's and is friendly with everyone- she even appears(coincidentally) in a photo used on the brochures/newspaper reviews! Overall, the place has a cool vibe, and I've found all of the staff to be really friendly and helpful. I've happily sampled a number of pastries and cookies, and I have yet to encounter anything stale as other reviewers mentioned. I found the amaretti cookies to be very good, and I also enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie and a black and white. I rarely order food, but they have great sandwiches and salads, some tasty looking sides, and a full display of cakes, pies, and other pastries. A unique specialty are their Barbie cakes, and I'd be interested to sample a piece someday. What I love most about Stork's is that they are open 365 days a year, until midnight! Really the perfect hang out for getting together with friends or doing some reading/work. If I lived in the area, I would probably be a regular fixture myself. Support your local coffee house and visit Stork's!

Great sandwiches!! Omg!! The deserts are to totally die for!!! Staff is super cute and nice and totally accommodating!!!! I love that they have free wifi and a little outdoor patio and the patio is on the road and surprisingly enough it wasn't noisy at all!! And to boot they make barbie doll birthday cakes- like with the actual barbie doll in it!!! Lol I want one for my birthday- fingers crossed!!!!!! ;)

This place is cool. It has all of these incredible looking pastries and cakes, I've only have the white chocolate lemon tart thing, and it was incredible. their coffee is also really delicious and every employee that i've spoken with has been friendly and helpful. they're also open late, so it's a nice hang out place that is an alternative to a bar!

  • Jordan N.

I haven't tried the food or desserts here. The desserts look tempting though. Coffee was good, nothing special. I had them put it in a mug, which made me feel better about the place than the typical styrofoam cups they hand out - a la mode Starbucks. Even the prices remind me of Starbucks. There's not much different. Nice little patio outside, pretty cozy atmosphere. I would return for a short rendezvous with friends if I'm in the area and update the review once I get a sampling of their food and desserts.

This is one of my new favorite coffee stops. Service is great, friendly and cute! Baked goods are delicious and lunch options are plentiful. Have had coffee + several times and my favorite is the Peruvian coffee. Had lunch a few times which was also very yummy (Quiche, another time stuffed chicken). Cookies and desserts are divine. My first encounter with Storks was on the day of my condo closing at my attny's office when I was treated to a red velvet birthday cake they had left over from earlier in the day. OMG - Fell in love instantly! Mahogany woodwork inside is beautiful. Dogs are welcome on the outside patio and the staff will gladly keep the doggy water bowls full of water.

Fantastic cafe. Horrible brewed coffee. They have a truly incredible array of cookies, cakes, tarts and delicious lunch items. I dream of being able to sample the entire case. Alas, I've only had the almond cookie bar, some kind of raspberry/honey piece of heaven, and their lasagna, which was VERY nice. Here is where I shed a tear: their coffee is horrible. Unforgivably bad. It is so bad that it violates the laws of the coffee shop universe. When a coffee shop has an amazing array of treats, it usually serves amazing coffee. Not so with Stork. The brown swill they serve stripped that last star off what is otherwise an awesome, gem-of-a-place place.

We came here for a late night sweet treat and from the moment we walked in it was obvious we came to the right place. What ever your sweet poison may be, this place will have it. Cakes, pies, giant home made cookies, sweet bars, brownies, more coffee choices than you can imagine and for tea drinkers and smoothie lovers you can find a treat. The staff were great, happy to make recommendations and asked about what flavors we liked. My choice was a lemon white chocolate tart which was fluffy and light but packed a punch of flavor. There is seating inside perfect for one or more to take a load off and enjoy a blissful trip to sugar heaven. They do have lunch options but quite frankly I was too focused on dessert to take proper notice.

  • Sandy J.

The food isn't Good, the cake has been stale since they opened and the gelato has been freezer burned. I still went there frequently during the semester to study last spring, I started going back today to fine "new rules." on the door there was a sign saying people couldn't stay long due to a need for seating. I ordered my coffee and my friend had some cookies, I can only speak for my coffee, it wasn't the best, but drinkable. We sat on the new lawn furniture that is inside to chat and the owner came over and kicked us off the furniture saying it was for only groups of 10. There was not a group of 10 waiting I can assure you. I won't go back and I'm sure over the last year I've spent at least $200.00 there.

I only go to STORKS because my friends drag me there every now and then for coffee and deserts. It is a nice place to go and "hang out' while you drink some coffee. You never feel rushed to leave and the place is nice and quite to have good conversations with friends. However, the desserts are just OK. I've tried several of the deserts and honestly I am not impressed. I just stick to the coffee, and even that is just average.

I was starving but knew we'd be going out to dinner soon, so we stopped here for a little nosh. I got a Perrier and one of their beef empanadas to tide me over. The empanada was $3.75, not too big but not too small, and had a good flavor to it, but would've been better heated in an oven versus the microwave. And the Perrier was rather expensive at $2.60 for the small bottle. I saw several people eating sandwiches (which looked delicious with fresh baked bread), so I made a mental note to come back for the turkey club next time. I will say this is a very cute, clean place to grab a bite to eat. The guys behind the counter are friendly. The inside is pretty small, but it's very nicely decorated, and there is a large outdoor patio. Parking is a bit of a hassle (and it was around 4 pm, not exactly a peak time for people to be eating!).

AWESOME!!!! What a great place. The biscotti (both kinds) are fresh, flavorful and crispy like a real biscotti, not the kind you get at chains. Peter and Christiana are phenomenal people who truly care about their customers and are hands-on owners who listen to their customers and follow through. We go there EVERY evening and at least 5 times during the day each week (boy it's great to be retired). The desserts are great and the food is flavorful and well prepared. We absolutely love this place and their flavored coffee is REAL flavored coffee with the flavor actually blended over and throughout the beans. This is a diverse clientele cafe/restaurant which is EXTREMELY gay friendly. It is a true treasure in Wilton Manors which has the flavor and welcoming feel of a CHEERS bar. As an added bonus they serve wine and beer. You have to try it to believe it. Some of the staff are soooo easy on the eyes and make for great scenery! I so want a Barbie Birthday Cake (Just a little hint, Shel).

Excellent desserts! Food/sandwiches are ok....there are better places to go for just food. It's true that it's small inside but I find it's part of the charm.

I can't say enough good things about this place and the owner Peter. I was looking for a place on Yelp to get pies for my wedding and Stork's came up. I stopped in to get a slice of apple crumb pie, and my fiancée and I were blown away. I consider myself a pie connoisseur, and I would put Stork's pie up there with my two other favorite and more well known pie places - Briermere farms in Long Island and Zingerman's in Ann Arbor, MI. The pie was so good, my fiancée and I decided to go in for a cake tasting even though we were set on another place for our wedding cake (luckily we hadn't put in a deposit). The cakes blew us away as much as the pie did. All of the cakes we tried were unbelievably moist with creamy, not overly rich, buttery frosting. Needless to say we are going with Stork's for our wedding cake and pies. We were thrilled enough to get awesome deserts at a reasonable price for for our special day, but Peter made it even better by throwing in an additional pie for the wedding, free lunch and a couple of slices if cake to take home.

Nice place to grab a nice dessert, coffee and meet up with friends. I no longer live in Fort Lauderdale but go there each time I'm in town. Food wise, my favorite sandwich is the Pilgrim although I wish they heat it up (I guess I can ask them to do that). I also tried their empanadas (which is a latin baked good stuffed with meat) and are really good. My mothers are better but I'm Cuban and nobody cooks like mom, right? Anyway, great place , clean and friendly. Good food in a casual setting with outdoor and indoor seating. They have been in business now for quite a few years. Nice place to look at da boys, too.

Tried the Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding. It was OK. . Tried a veggie sandwich which was also average. In the middle of Wilton Manors.

..a great place to get chocolate fiend in you nourished and if I drank coffee, then I am quite certain that it would just as good!

Nicely decorated but a little on the small side especially if you want to sit inside where you will find your self on top of strangers as the tables are so close together. Even though the decor was enticing the dirty tables were not. We sat for over 15 min waiting for our sandwiches and when we asked, we were informed they had forgotten the order. On a more positive note the staff were somewhat friendly the sandwiches were decent but I do have to say the bread was very fresh, but after this experience I doubt we will be going back to this storks anytime soon. I much prefer the Las Olas experience.

This is a great coffee shop/bakery/sandwich place. But be sure to bring your sweet tooth, because the homemade desserts are great!

This is a solid choice for a quick lunch or if you're craving a baked good. The service is good. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and able to offer recommendations. You order at the register and then grab a seat at a table, where they bring you your food. There is a good variety of salads and sandwiches as well as several prepared food items you can pick from. I usually stick with a salad or sandwich. The salads are made to order and they use fresh ingredients. The sandwiches are delicious. I just love their breads. To me, the baked goods are the real reason to come here. They're so fresh and delicious. You can smell them when you walk in the door. Even if you come for just a salad, you will end up wanting some sort of baked good and will end up leaving with one. The cookies are enormous and the perfect combination of crunchy and chewy. I had an oatmeal raisin cookie today and it was delightful! Haven't tried the breakfast yet, but I will give it a whirl one of these days!

Nothing but good things to say about this place. I come in for coffee probably 5 mornings a week, it is always perfect, its always reasonably priced, and the service is always unbeatable. The staff is consistent and will probably know your order within a week if you don't mix things up too often. I usually get iced coffee which comes out to 2 bucks and change, if I'm hungry the chicken caesar salad is always amazing. Food is pretty expensive, if I had one complaint it would be that. But honestly, everything is made fresh daily and prepared right there on the spot so its not without good reason. They have a great variety of coffee at the counter for you to refill your cup with, nice when you need an extra boost!! They also give you a free iced coffee refill every day if you sit down for a few. I come here often and don't expect that to change anytime soon, this is my go-to coffee shop in Oakland Park.

I've been coming here for 5 years now. It's a great coffee shop, just do not eat the food. The food always looks amazing but it taste terrible. Without accept. It always tastes bad which is such a disappointment given how good it looks. I have to give it 2 stars because the food is so bad.

Great place for coffee, a quick bite or a sweet snack. The servers are friendly, the coffee is fresh and there are plenty of options for food and drinks. Best part is that the coffee shop has a mini-terrace in the back which means you can enjoy your coffee and snack while enjoying the view and summer sun. I would recommend this place if you need to quickly pick-up something to go or if you want to stay and hang out (read: coffee date).

I went here for a dessert, and it was almost a mistake...hear me out though...the food was very filling. Seeing that I just had lunch before arriving here, I was too full to enjoy the strawberry rhubarb. It was was very good, and the shop does well to display everything they serve up. I recommend going, but don't make the same mistake I made...go hungry!!

***UPDATE AND INCREASE IN STARS: as stated previous, I will note that the German Chocolate beans was out of this world! Super bold and smooth and so rich w/o being too sweet. The Sumatra was great as well but just can't compare*** I walk in and go to the array of coffee bean dispensers (oddly the 1st thing I spot where it is almost hidden to the right). Coffee fanatic over here so stars were in my eyes. It was so hard to choose. From Hazelnut to Organic grounds from Peru. They are $16 a pound. I opted for the German Choc and the Sumatra (will be noting on them once I try at home). They do have a grinder available. I will note shamelessly (since I ended up buying the beans even after noticing this) that the inside of the dispensers themselves looked as if the last time they were cleaned was in Cleopatra times. I ordered the iced latte (only comes in 1 size for $3.75) and a medium hot latte for my mom ($3.25) Ladies and gentleman, I give you the rich flavor of water and BPA plastic. But no, really, it tasted like the plastic cup itself told its soul to the devil and became one w/ the coffee. I even put 3 brown sugar packets and no luck :/ Now, for the sweets, I bought my mom and myself a chocolate chip cookie and we both agree--crunchy outside but very soft inside, recommend it! I was expecting a lot more pastries and danishes but it was mostly cakes (which I can't lie, they looked delectable) and a lot more lunch items. Oddly, I did see some, like the tuna salad being out and very exposed inside the display, which I can see why yelpers felt their goods were not fresh. The only pastry that looked "the most" appealing was the blueberry Danish, but even that was just to try. The blueberry filling itself just reminded me of jelly in a jar; no true texture to it. My mom noted her latte was good, not great. The associate that rung me up had the 1st impression of super peppy, wanted you to walk out smiling. But out of nowhere, became flustered. Didn't even ask me if I wanted sugar in the coffees. He even told the customers behind me "wait, wait" when he was keeping up with their order. He seemed easily overwhelmed that it even made me uneasy, but I surely wouldn't call it "bad" service. The young man behind the counter was very attentive and had a great sense of urgency. Luckily when it comes to coffee shops for me and trying them for the first time, if I was dissatisfied, I would come back to try another coffee, and with that said, that would be the ONLY thing I would try if I were to return.

I should rename this place Bakery and Coffee house on crack. I was in a Sweet tooth kind of mood, so happy that I came to this place to fix that problem. The array of desserts that are available to you are incredible so here is an example of their lovely selection: 1. White Chocolate Pistachio Cheesecake 2. Kahlua Marble Cheesecake 3. Carrot Cake 4. Chocolate Fudge Cake 5. German Chocolate Cake 6. Red Velvet Cake 7. Bread Pudding 8. Brownies 9. Biscotti 10. Almond Croissants I decided to order the Lemon Bar for Dessert and a Pomegranate Unsweetened Ice Tea. All I know this combination on a Saturday afternoon. The Lemon Bar was the perfect amount of Zing and Sweetness. I decided to sit outside to enjoy the weather and the view. If you are a coffee lover, this is also a good place to grab a nice cup of coffee. This place is pretty much an upscale coffee house. I was sad to leave this place because I knew I had to head back to Orlando, but at least know where to go the next time I am in the Fort Lauderdale area.

One of the cooler coffee shops I've been to. Their pastry selections are ample, the place is big with an enormous outdoor patio and a really cute little gazebo (it's across the parking lot). The parking is limited, so at busy times, it's hit or miss. The reason I don't give it five stars is because the tea selection is largely fruit and herbal selections. Those are fine, but those of us who are true tea drinkers like a good, strong, black tea. They have one. That's hardly a selection. And a decaffeinated black tea for the evening would be a great addition. It's nice to have an alternative to the major chain coffee shop, but if the selection isn't there, what is the reason for me to return? Increase the tea selection and I'll revisit this review.

I have been going to Storks for about five years now. It is a good choice for both coffee and food items, both sweet and savory. The staff here is fantastic, the prices are where they should be for a local coffee house, the food is great......most of the time. My only gripe with Storks is the consistency of the baked goods. One of my favorite cheat day indulgences is a chocolate chip cookie from here. When they are fresh, they make you feel like a kid again, encountering the wonders of a chocolate chip cookie for the first time. The problem is they are batch baked and if not sold quick enough, sit for too long and become dry, stale imitations of themselves. For sure give this place a go for everything from coffee to a full meal, get a cookie, just ask how fresh it is.

What a great place! We had dinner on the drive and did not care for anything on the dessert menu so we looked on Yelp and discovered this place and that it was open until midnight. We ordered a Honey Bar, lemon white chocolate tart (which was absolutely amazing), a coconut cream pie, and a merengue. Everything was so good. I am definitely looking forward to coming back to try some other items on the menu.

What a great smelling shop. Who can resist sweet pastries cakes and the smell of coffee. .I know I cant. I grabbed salmon and roasted beets and sweet potatoes for dad and I had a lemon bar ..Mike l had a slice of the strawberry rhubarb pie. Everytime we always ordered cakes to go this is my first time eating here. Thanks Yelp for the 10% off as my check in order!! The restaurant has a really European feel with flowers that grace the ceiling on a ledge..they have outdoor patio seating too and bottomless mimosas sat and sun for just 15 bucks. Really nice cozy dessert spot. I will be back. The lemon bar is really delicious and custardy with a hint of lemon which makes the bar tangy and creamy. I love it.

After eating at the Grilled Cheese Co. my friend who is local to the area took me to stork and what a treat it was. I had the Sumatra coffee, the double fudge brownie and the honey bar. My friend got a salad and everything was amazingly good. The baked goods were awesome and Chris behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place!

Love this place! I moved to Florida last week and I've been to stork's at least 4 times. The service is wonderful! Very welcoming and knowledgable. The sandwiches and baked goods are delicious. Try the frenchie on sourdough! They also serve beer and wine and are open until midnight everyday!!!

Amazing cakes My aunt lives in Las Olas and she recommended this cake place. I tried the Vanilla Amaretto cake at my cousins Comunion. My fam ordered a Chocolate with milk chocolate and ganache graduation cake for my brother in Law it came out amazing! Detail of gold leaf, and the school colors, it was perfect. My birthday cake was made from the Stork's website,my father in law picked out. It was beautiful and had roses made of icing on the top. It was both beautiful and delicious . I especially loved how fresh and moist the cakes are! My chocolate birthday cake had chocolate icing and chocolate fudge layer oh yes!! Really satisfying and scrumptious! Yummm!! They make outstanding delicious cakes and very affordable , why use a Publix really? When there's another occasion for a delicious themed cake I'm coming to Stork's Bakery.

Stork's is my go-to late-night coffee place. They have a wide selection of tea, coffee, smoothies, and they even have wine! I've only ever gotten coffee there but each time it's delicious, I will say though I've noticed most of their specialty drinks are a bit on the sweet side, but that's no problem for me. All of their pastries look delicious, though I've only had a sugar-free brownie when I was there, but it was great! Couldn't even tell it was sugar free honestly, it was so rich and chocolatey. Great place to go to just relax and chat with friends over coffee.

It was my birthday and we were looking for a cake shop around dinner time. Since it was a Sunday, nothing opened after 8pm except for this store. I got the 6 inch French chocolate cake. It was soooo yummy! I dont eat chocolate that much cuz it is always too sweet to make me sick. There was only one place that made chocolate cake i could tolerate before I came here! This cake seemed to be from another world! Absolutely gorgeous! I just loved the taste so much that i wished i could come back very often if i dont live 1400 miles away. I am pretty sure if I had the chance pre-ordered a custom cake i would be surprised even more! Had an amazing birthday!

Nice little mom and pop bakery though me and my husband love to visit. they have a lot of nice well put together sandwiches and light lunch options. My husband and I usually get the latte and a nice dessert to share. The cookies are a must try! One of my favorite things to eat there is the biscotti, it is the best biscotti I've ever had. The restaurant is always very nice and clean and the restrooms are always spotless. I travel about 15 miles just to have coffee, this place is that good!

Customer service with a big smile and delicious sweets to scarf down - my kinda place! Came into Stork's last weekend to cure my sweet tooth craving. Parking was quick and easy with a good amount of spaces out front. Walking in the place is spotless! The cases are filled with cakes and cookies and all forms of sweet deliciousness. The also had sandwiches and salads available and of course coffee. I got a lemon tart and the wife got a sugar free brownie. The brownie was actually really good! The super nice gentleman that took care of us mentioned people really liked it and that it was the only thing they didn't make in house. Now, the lemon tart..WHOA. First it was massive. That's a good thing. The creamy filling and the crunch crust were perfect. A little too sweet, but that didn't stop me from finishing the entire thing. They have indoor and outdoor seating on a nice, covered patio. FREE WIFI and the prices were more than reasonable - plus check in on Yelp for a 10% discount!

DELICIOUS gluten free chocolate mousse cake. DELICIOUS coffee. Totally adorable and DELICIOUS gay staff? Talk about eye candy. These fellas were so hot. Hotter than the coffee. I really loved this place and will be back the next time I am in south florida.

Good food but service is really odd. They were friendly but must suffer from ADHD. Screwed up order process, the bill, the actual orders...and not apologetic for being so unorganized. The young order taker actually had an attitude! Ordered chicken salad which was really good. Cakes, desserts and some take away food all looked amazing! I will go back but will make order out of chaos so everything doesn't get screwed up!

I ordered a custom cake for my Holland-obsessed friend who came to visit in the middle of the World Cup and they were able to accommodate with short notice and minimal direction! I spoke with the baker, Chelsi, who gave me her email address. I sent her an image of a cake for inspiration and an image of a logo and let her design the cake using that info and team colors / Netherland flag. She shot me an email the morning when the cake was ready and it looked great! My friend was stoked with his personalized team cake and - though I don't eat cake myself, I was told that the cake not only looked great but also tasted amazing. It was very rich and moist. Though there were a few imperfections, it did not affect the overall quality of the cake. I did call around a few other places and it was hard to get a cake so quickly and it was also very fairly priced by comparison. Overall it was a hassle-free experience and we got an awesome one-of-a kind cake!

I started going to Storks when I bought my place in Fort Lauderdale last spring and it has proved to be consistantly good every time that I've visited, which is about 2-3 times a week. They are an excellent choice for coffee, baked good and breakfast food (fantastic spinach and feta pie)! On the coffee side, they have awesome iced coffee (including iced decaf for a non-caffein drinker like myself), as well as a large selection of daily coffees and teas. For holidays, they make awesome pies and baked goods. I should note that on the evening before Thanksgiving, I wanted a cake or something non-pie for our small dinner gathering and all they had were large cakes and pies. No problem at all, though - the baker came out and said she would whip me up a small German Chocolate cake that night. Little did I know that everyone would be raving about it the next day.

I came here for some coffee and I was happy to see all different and unique selections and the self service coffee dispensers. They also have fresh coffee beans for purchase that you can grind and take home. There's lots of selections of bakery items. I went for a chocolate chip cookie and my husband and I split it. It was really good and the coffee was tasty. We sat outside on the patio and it was pleasant and relaxing.

Storks has delicious bread!!! Their sandwiches are quite tasty. My only problem is that they are a bit pricey for their fare :(. The last time I went I got the cheapest sandwich on the menu- it was very small and came with no sides- $8. They had amazing looking desserts on display, I chose not to indulge that day, but I would definitely go back to give the treats a try.

Great place!! The food and the pastries are delicious. I had a egg croissant and it was crispy and soft on the inside just like I like it. I had a fruit tart for dessert and it was so well balanced, the sweetness and tartness of the fruit was just on point. Highly recommend it!!!

We walked in here after searching for a Bakery on our handy dandy yelp app. First thoughts? This place is cozy! They have a pretty decent selection of cakes and salad dishes. We had already ate lunch, so we went straight to the cakes, but their salad's looked amazing. Definitely noted for next time. The cakes were so pretty you almost did not want to eat them...but who could resist? The gentleman behind the register was beyond attentive, and just a really over all nice guy. He was super helpful and answered all of our questions. I had the marvel sugar free cheesecake and my honey had the lemon tart. My pastry was very good, but man, my husband's tart was AMAZING. A bit sweet, but oh so delicious! I really liked this bakery, and I can see myself coming here often. If you are in the area, and in dire need of something sweet, this is the right place to visit!

The baked delicious sweet goodness here: superb. The selection of yummy hot coffee: fantastic. The breakfast: hella good. The sandwiches: scrumptious. Now, I'm going to let you in on a little secret... Their soups: DIVINE!!! It is so damn hard to find good soup, or even any soup, in South Florida. I get it, it's warm 95% of the time here. I don't care. I love soup, no matter when, and especially when I need some comfort. Then I discovered that Stork's has two fresh made soups daily, and they get quite creative with flavors. The chicken peanut has been my favorite, but the Sichuan carrot was pretty delish too and I have to be honest I have yet to meet one I don't like here. I haven't even seen the full rotation yet since the rumor is that they have over 40 different soups! Oh, and the location, friendly staff and free wifi in a spot open until midnight is the icing on the decadent desserts you'll find here.

Storks has wonderful pastries, sandwiches, prepared foods and coffee. The patio is great as well as the inside seating area. The problem is the men's bathroom (not sure what the women's bathroom is like). The urinal in the men's room has not worked for three years!!! It does not flush and it is always full and SMELLS. It is also covered with rust. The Formica next to it is all water damage from "splatter". The sink vanity actually rotted away - they replaced it when part of it fell apart. It was falling apart for months before they replaced it (it was replaced with a broken granite top) So, it makes me wonder what the conditions are in the kitchen. It's really disgusting in the bathroom. I stopped ordering food a couple of years ago and just get the coffee because it worries me. I LOVE the staff & the customers, but this is ridiculous! Doesn't the Board of Health check it out?

I love to come here for lunch. They have great soups, sandwiches, and salads. The specials are reasonably priced and delicious. It's made to order, so I've had no trouble substituting or customizing my meal. The service is great and the staff is very friendly and laid back. Of course, the best part is the desserts. 2 words: Chocolate Decadence. This heavenly, flourless chocolate cake is really my main motivation for coming to Stork's. Sometimes I just bypass lunch altogether and just go straight for the cake.

Stumbled upon this place on this Monday morning and it was a great delight. The place had a very nice crown for a Monday morning and had a good vibe going on. There was plenty of parking around the building and we were greeted by a very friendly worker. Although we were not very hungry we shared a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich ($5.50). The sandwich was a very good size and had the perfect proportion of egg, meat, and cheese. It was also freshly pressed so it was nice and hot. In addition, we had the iced german chocolate cake coffee ($4.50) - I believe that was the name. Again, it was very tasty and delicious and served with some whoop cream. I would highly recommend this pastry/coffee shop as a nice little hang out spot to grab some breakfast and a coffee.

The first morning after moving to a new area I decided to get on yelp and check out where I should get some breakfast, and it led me to Stork! Fantastic coffee bar with real breakfast options. I had the breakfast panini which was very good. My only qualm is that it's preset so you can't modify it. My friend had an omelette and she enjoyed it. Their patio is a nice outside option and it's pup friendly! They seem to have a lunch menu but I haven't gotten there yet.

Decent coffee. Although I think as I finished my cup it started tasting like the cup itself. A little like the plastic/wax coating inside of the paper coffee cups. I'll update this review when I try it again just to make sure. Their chocolate chip cookie was pretty good but the dough tasted like they used a bit too much brown sugar. It was still a good cookie but it's a different style from what I really like. Staff was very friendly and nice, though. I'll go back and

Stork's prides itself on being an upscale coffee house, and that it is. We come here for one reason only. Their gluten free flourless chocolate cake called decadence. The past couple of years we spent the major holidays with our two gay friends. One of them has a gluten intolerance so he can't have flour. After dinner one year he pulled out a cake and said it was gluten free and that he got it at stork's bakery in wilton manors. When I heard gluten free cake my first thought was that it was going to be nasty. I took a bite out of it and sweet jesus!!!!! It was decadent!!! It was like crack cocaine, you had to have more. So from that moment on I made a mental note to myself to visit stork's bakery when it was our turn to host dinner. So it's now become a tradition to make the drive all the way from the margate/coral springs area to wilton manors to pick up this gluten free cake at stork's. When we first pulled up we parked in the lot behind the bakery. As you make your way to the front they have outdoor seating on the patio. When you walk in it's kind of small but decorated very nicely. They serve sandwiches that look and sound delicious. Their pastries looked very good too. The people behind the counter are very friendly and work efficiently to keep the line moving. The price of the cake was around $22.00 which seems about norm. We definitely recommend stork's bakery.

Wonderful place with good coffee and great food. The food is amazing from breakfast, lunch sandwiches, made fresh daily salads, and the deserts! As a student I love to come for good food, midday coffee and a patio to read on for hours. The staff is also very friendly.

I am one of their first customers..way back when on 1997-8 well around there. Frequent it 3-5x weekly. I left Fort Lauderdale, now in Jacksonville. Whenever I'm in town my first and last stop in Broward is Storks.. I miss you guys..

Went there for the first time today because of the great yelp reviews and I was really disappointed. My friend and I ordered a cheesecake which was okay, some type of banana walnut cake which was dry and crumbled apart as soon as a fork was stuck in it and a brownie which was okay. I would not go there again. People working there were friendly but didn't really know what was what but they were nice. But like I said wouldn't go there again. (My friend are I are feeling sick from that cake)

Best coffee selection. Great atmosphere. Love the scones, muffins and oversized cookies. It's my favorite place to hang out in the morning when grabbing that first cup of coffee and reading the paper. Strawberry/white chocolate muffins are the best. Staff is friendly and helpful.
